Most recently rated 6th, Antinori bought the Tignanello vineyard in 1900. Antinori is a Tuscany-based wine company that is one of the largest and most prominent in Italy. Tignanello is the most famous of all Antinori’s wines. The 2016 vintage for Tuscany is widely considered to be excellent. For Chianti Classico, the harvest was a huge success and both Merlot and Cabernet Franc shone. The wines have become known for being very well-balanced and displaying exceptional fruit, aromatics along with well-integrated tannins. There should be plenty of fantastic options for both short and long-term drinking.
